Create and manage your Google My Business Account. – It’s free.  It’s easy to use. You can include hours of opperation, location so you show up in maps, events, photos of the church and congregation and a link to your website. It helps people find you.

Utilize Social Media – Include what the services will be about that week. What they will be learning.  Show photos and videos of people having fun,  worship services, children’s church, events and more. 

Create a Google Analytics account and a Google Search Console account.  This will give you information to better optimize your website, and help you track how people are navigating the website. It will show you what keywords are bringing in visitors, What pages are performing well and what pages aren’t. 

Add alt tags to images on your website. Describe what the image is, but try to include a keyword for what the page is about. 

Make sure your website is fast and responsive. The majority of website visitors these days are mobile. It is so important to make sure your website is mobile friendly and looks just as good on mobile as it does on desktop. Users are very impatient these days and if your website doesn’t perform well, then your visitors won’t stay. These are also Google ranking factors.
